Nguyen, Thanh. “Blogs in Education.” : The Use of Blogs in Education. Web. 09 Nov. 2014. <http://thanhnguyen75.blogspot.com/2006/11/use-of-blogs-in-education_14.html>.
This source focuses on 4 main benefits to blogging. Classroom Management, collaboration, discussions, and student portfolios. One great point I noticed here was the potential for upperclassmen students to help underclassmen students on subjects which leads to really great coordination and cooperation. She also mentions how every student has equal opportunity to share their thoughts and discuss with the rest of their class (whereas in the classroom setting people may be shy and reluctant to talk). Blogs also help organize a students work that teachers can use to organize to find patterns and or offer advice on improvement. This kind of organization allows teachers to assess the students’ skills in a particular area because all of their work is so organized.
