Schneider, Mike, and Jennifer Kay. “Rebecca Ann Sedwick Suicide: Two Girls Arrested For ‘Terrorizing’ Bullied Victim.” The Huffington Post. TheHuffingtonPost.com, 15 Oct. 2013. Web. 26 Oct. 2014.
Rebecca Ann Sedwick was a 12 year old girl who jumped to her death after being bullied by as many as 15 girls at her middle school. Rebecca was called nasty names, consistently harassed online (through Facebook) and even physically bullied. She had become suicidal, cutting her wrists many times because of the bullying that continued even after changing schools many times. Unfortunately, it is hard to charge individuals with driving others to commit suicide because of free speech laws.
