Lampinen, Michelle. “Blogging in the 21st-Century Classroom.” Edutopia. 8 Apr. 2013. Web. 11 Oct. 2014.

This article talks about blogging in a classroom from a highschool teacher’s perspective. She brings up two major points when discussing the impact of giving her students a class blogs. The first is how they were able to improve as writers. By giving them such freedom and flexibility with writing about their favorite topics, Michelle’s students were able to feel more comfortable writing overall which assisted in strengthening their skills for written subjects that they might not be as familiar in. Furthermore she also emphasizes the impact of blogging in regards to stress. Since the structure of a blog is very loose students generally feel more comfortable and not as stressed when they complete assignments given to them on the blog. Even though I do not discuss writing enhancement as well as a change in pace in my thesis I definitely could include these points in my essay. Blogging definitely creates a new and more comfortable atmosphere than most writing assignments
