This article describes several important aspects of blogging that can act as resume builders for all students, but specifically for students who are planning to enter the medical field. It’s not an intuitive connection to make, medicine and blogging, but certain skills learned from maintaining a blog are useful in all careers. This post points out that maintaining a blog shows initiative and creativity, and responsible social media usage. The writer also points out that that the ability to create a side income is beneficial to the applicant as well, but I disagree with this. Many students have jobs outside of school, and they require both time management to maintain and initiative to obtain. Blogging is not unique in that aspect.
