This source is definitely a great starting article that talks about not only describes what a blog is but also how teachers are intergrating them into the classrooms. It brings up a good point that I most likely will use in my essay which is that it motivates students that normally wouldn’t participate in class to participate in discussions. Some people are simply shy in real life and may feel more confident chatting on a computer which gives them an opportunity to share their opinion. In addition, sharing their opinions online might even encourage them to participate more in class too once they get more comfortable with their classmates online. Another point the article brings up is the cooperation aspect of blogs where people may need to work together or help one another on certain assignments like writing for example. This article definitely serves as a perfect ground basis to my paper as it discusses some great benefits of blogs in classrooms.
