This article looks at technology as a whole and explains how interaction with digitals (or electronics) affects a person’s day-to-day life. It’s interesting because it includes digitals such as alarm clocks, cell phones, eBooks, radios, etc. These technologies can also be incorporated in blogging. People use blogs as “a hybrid diary/guide site” to record their personal lives. Since this article was written in 2005, the statistics available are probably not relevant today, but the use of technology in our generation is probably much greater than the researchers discovered back then. So, this article may be more relevant in terms of digitals’ impact on an individual’s lifestyle in a general form. If digitals were important enough nine years ago, they must have a tremendous influence now. The article also discusses the professional/business aspect of digitals, which requires a specific view of an individual’s lifestyle.
